Last night after a long Saturday at home, we settled with canned ravioli and pasta-os. I also fixed a can of green beans, and Mandarin oranges.
daughter7-ravioli, raw baby carrots, and oranges
son5-took ravioli but didn't eat more than one of them, green beans, raw baby carrots, oranges x2, and a banana
son3-ravioli, raw baby carrots, oranges, and a banana
mom-pasta-os, green beans, and a banana
I like to give my children choices. Tonight was an excellent example of what happens when I give my kids choices. Daughter7 doesn't like the green beans I have been serving. So she asked to have baby carrots, she got them and so did everyone else. It is great that they understand that they need to eat their fruit and vegetable.

Salad with Fried Chicken
We had salad last night. To change it up a bit I cut up, breaded, and fried some chicken. I breaded it with egg and bread crumbs with a little salt and pepper. The salad was lettuce and tomatoes. Add ins included the chicken, cheese, bacon bits, and croutons. Our fruit were bananas.
dad-salad with all the add ins. he also put in sour cream and salsa (mainly because I was low on ranch). he liked it. he said he ate plenty of the chicken
daughter7-salad with cheese. ate her half a banana, the extra half of banana, and another banana after that (I think she likes bananas)
son5-salad without tomatoes, croutons, chicken and cheese on the side. ate his banana
son3-salad without tomatoes, croutons, cheese and chicken on the side. ate his banana
mom-salad with all the add ins. ate banana
Really tasty. I like the combination of the cool salad with the warm chicken melting the cheese. Yum-yum!

Hot Dogs
Tonight was a simple night. We had Hot Dogs. The children like theirs microwaved. I like mine fried on the stove. So I did both. Actually dad and I ate Polish Sausages and the kids had hot dogs; also a matter of preference. Veggie=raw baby carrots. Fruit=banana.
dad-3 polish sausages with catsup, mustard, & onions on buns; 8 carrots with ranch, half a banana
daughter7-1 hot dog, 5 carrots with ranch, half a banana
son5-1 hot dog with catsup, 5 carrots with ranch, apple sauce (didn't want a banana)
son3-a few bites of hot dog, 5 carrots with ranch, half banana
mom-1 polish sausage with catsup, mustard, & onion, 8 carrots, half a banana
Everyone liked it and was super simple to do, which I liked. Had a few kids try to leave the table before finishing their fruit or vegetable, but they came back to eat them. I guess that is what consistence gets you.
